1. What is Pigment Printing?

Pigment printing uses insoluble color particles suspended in a binder (like acrylic or resin) to adhere to the fabric surface.

Unlike dyes, pigments don't chemically bond with fibers but sit on top, held by the binder.

Works well on synthetic fabrics like polyester microfiber, as well as cotton blends.

No Heat Required: Unlike dye sublimation, pigment printing doesn't require high heat, making it suitable for delicate microfibers.

Color Brilliance: Pigments may appear slightly duller than dyes on synthetic fibers (compared to sublimation dyeing).

Pre-treatment: Some microfibers benefit from a primer or corona treatment to improve adhesion.

Ink Selection: Use high-quality pigment inks designed for synthetic fabrics.
